    Frequently asked questions

Why are the finished files large?

WAV is an uncompressed format designed to preserve quality, so it is larger than MP3 or AAC. Convert the download separately if your publishing service requires a compressed format.

Does this fully replace professional mastering?

This browser tool supports quick level and tone preparation. For important commercial releases, audition the result on several playback systems and consider review by a mastering engineer.

Do results remain after I leave the page?

No. Audio is not stored on a server or account, so download every WAV you need before leaving the page.
